Motorola and Cingular should be embarrased, by Jim on 10/11/2006 3:36:40 PM
This phone is the worst phone I ever had. I would be next to my wife with a different brand phone from Cingular, she would have a full signal, I would have only one bar if lucky. I would often get dropped from a call even when I had a full signal and was not moving. The phone would go from a full signal to none. I was in a neigboring state, about three hours from home. I had a full signal on the whole trip on the expressway. I could not make a phone call, kept getting a message that the call failed....I have a national plan with no roaming charges. The phone even stated "Cingular" on it as the network. Finaly about 45 minutes from home I was able to get a call through. I'm almot two years into my contract. I was looking to upgrade and learned that Cingular was having so many problems with this phone they were allowing customers to upgrade at any time durring their contract with out penalty. I had been to several stores to see if anything could be changed on the phone and was never told what a lemon this phone was. The sales people I spoke with just wanted me to buy a full priced phone, didn't care about making things right for their customers. Motorola and Cingular should commiit to providing a quality product for the entire length of the contract. I have to commit for two years, why can't they?
